Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (TCL4)

The Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (TCL4) is accredited by the CPCAB. The course consists of 420 hours of teaching time in addition to self-study and the completion of reflective learning logs. This course provides you with a nationally recognised qualification so that you can start working in counselling agencies. With experience and support from your supervisor: you may decide to open a private practice.


The course requires you to start volunteering as a Counsellor within a placement, usually within the voluntary and charitable sector. Candidates need to have successfully completed a Level 2 counselling skills course that involved at least 90 hours of learning, and a Level 3 Counselling Studies qualification of at least 90 hours. Candidates will need to fill out an application form, providing 2 references and be interviewed. It is mandatory that learners have at least Level 2 English Language and IT skills to produce the portfolio and we will talk this through with you.

Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (TCL4) on Saturday from 9.00 - 17.00. Costing £3,500 and starting Saturday on 26/09/20.


REQUIRES: Level 2 and 3 qualifications or 180 hours in counselling and training ​
